Description (summary) 2026-09-03 lC Stone installation constituted of large to very large stones and set on top of the bricky red material belonging to the J1^esc2 next to the lower part of the Revetment Wall. It was preserved only in a small portion in correspondence with the stone escarpment. Because of the shape of the stone with a clear flat upper surface it was also interpreted as a sort of bench. It is not clear if the people could sit on them, but the large sized stones could also perform also as a sacral boundary, more symbolic than real being so close to the wall itself. Stratigraphic reasons of assignment 2026-09-03 lC The stons are lying on top of the bricky material dating to second escarpement. The accumulations abutting it are Mittani, but since in J1 we have seen how Mittani level are close (and sometimes directly overimposed) to ED III occupation, some small doubts on the chronology remain.
